Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Our chapter LOVES St. Jude and how we show it is through our fundraising efforts! We kick-started our very first DHOP (Delta House of Pancakes) in the Fall of 2017 and raised a little over $3,300! Since then, we have made DHOP an annual success through hard-word and a lot of sisterhood. DHOP is our largest campus involved fundraising event that not only raises money for St. Jude but celebrates the wonderful achievements we have had the opportunity to be a part of.

Our chapter specifically has had the opportunity to gather local support from some great restaurants such as Chipotle, Easy Breezy, and Palmetto. These fundraising efforts allow others outside our chapter to participate by dining in at these restaurants during a promoted date and a percentage of that day’s revenue is donated to St. Jude.

Our annual Spring letter-writing campaign called Sincerely Yours is Tri-Delta’s biggest fundraiser: we get together as a group of women and write letters to family and friends asking for donations for St. Jude! This right here, shows the strength and power within our sisterhood, to come together and make a difference because Sincerely Yours brings in 70% of our donations across the nation.

In addition to supporting St. Jude through our letter-writing event, Sincerely Yours, our chapter enjoys supporting other local organizations through philanthropy and hands-on service.

In Fall 2016, our chapter donated Christmas gifts through the Adopt-a-Family Program by Family House, a local non-profit that provides temporary housing to families with children who are patients at UCSF Benioff Hospital.

In the Spring of 2020, we also started an in-chapter toothbrush and toothpaste drive called, the Smile Drive, where we would donate these supplies to Family House. We hope to continue to help and support Family House with our volunteer and fundraising efforts in the future.

As a chapter we are constantly working to create fun and supportive fundraising events to donate to St. Jude, so they can give children the hope they need to be brave, bold and kind.
