Academics

Our chapter of Delta Delta Delta strives to live out our purpose to “assist its members in every possible way.” In order to successfully fulfill this statement, our chapter invests itself in the academic success of each and every member.

Epsilon Rho maintains our high standards of academics by requiring our members to complete 15 study hours per semester. Eight of these hours are designed group study hours, where chapter officers host silent and social group study sessions around campus. With this, we aim to promote academic success by providing a space for sisters to support and offer assistance in projects and assignments. Additionally, through our #schoolhelp channel on Slack, we are able to ask our sisters for help on homework and get useful advice when choosing class schedules and professors.

We work to reward members who exemplify scholastic excellence by giving them special recognition throughout the school year. In 2020, we integrated a ‘Yay for A’s’ jar, where members can submit their A letter grades in exchange for a raffle ticket and a chance to win a giftcard or small prize at every chapter meeting.

An academic committee is in place for those who fall below the organization’s minimum required GPA of 2.75. The committee works directly with the member to create a plan of academic support to ensure they are able to achieve success within their classes. The committee is also open to members who need assistance with the university’s academic services, such as access to tutors and booking appointments with the Learning and Writing Center.

The women of Tri Delta realize that academics are our first priority when attending USF. While being involved in our chapter, there are numerous opportunities to flourish academically.
